Before generating any RSS feeds, you will need to create a user account and a profile.
Creating a new user is a straightforward process. You launch the RSS Reporter and click on the "New User" link on the left panel. On the New User web page, you specify the user name, full name and the password. At the end you click on "Add and Continue" button - the user account will be created and you will be logged on.
Once you have logged on, the RSS Reporter creates and assigns you a profile. Initially the profile is empty but you can add SQL Server instances, define job preferences for each SQL Server instance, configure ad-hoc query feeds, and finally add database size and space allocation feeds.
