Command Line Configuration

 

xSQL Data Compare provides a simple command line configuration wizard. The wizard creates an Xml configuration file that can then be used by xSQL Data Compare Command Line utility.

To launch the configuration wizard click on the "Command Line Configuration" item under the "Tools" menu. The wizard will guide you through a quick 4 step process of:

• selecting the databases to be compared;
• choosing the comparison options
• choosing where the script and log files will be saved, encoding type, whether the script will be executed etc.
• and, finally choosing where to save the Xml configuration file

You can modify the Xml configuration file using an XML or a simple text editor. For more details on the configuration file and xSQL Data Compare Command line utility in general please review the xSQL Data Compare Command Line help documents.
